Phasing Out Plastics

As a jungle beach resort, we understand firsthand the dangers of plastic. Its production is energy-intensive, its recycling is inefficient, and its bioaccumulation is deeply impactful on marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

We have already removed plastic packaging and products from our resort and asked staff to not enter with plastic items. This year we are opening a water bottling plant to eliminate single-use bottles as well as reduce the impact of transporting fresh water to our property.

Alongside our commitment to becoming plastic-free, we also conduct regular beach sweeps and jungle clean-ups and hope to set an example of best practices for other properties.
