Son Tra is home to extraordinary wildlife, including the world’s largest population of red-shanked douc langurs. Protecting them is part of how we operate, every day, because this landscape is their home first.

Here is where your support goes:

• Daily wildlife education for guests: Our resident naturalist leads nature tours each day, helping guests and families understand the primates around us, how to observe them respectfully and why small behaviours, like not feeding, not making eye contact and keeping distance, make a real difference for animal welfare and guest safety.
• Safer movement across the resort: We have built five monkey bridges, combining natural canopy corridors and man-made crossings, so primates can travel between habitats more safely and with less disruption from human activity.
• Habitat support through planting: We plant trees and vegetation that support the local ecosystem, including food sources the doucs rely on, strengthening habitat over time.
• Primate Appreciation Month, every August: In 2025, we launched our first-ever Primate Appreciation Month, dedicating an entire month to guest awareness and on-property education. It will now return every August, reinforcing consistent, responsible behaviour around wildlife and deepening understanding for both adults and children.
• Training and partnerships that raise standards: Our teams receive ongoing wildlife guidance and we work with local partners to support broader conservation goals on Son Tra.

This work matters to us because tourism can either place pressure on wildlife or help protect it. By funding education, safer crossings and habitat care, guests help keep Son Tra’s primates healthier, wilder and more secure, while ensuring the experience of seeing them remains a privilege for generations.
