A Taste of Luxury, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort’s year-long series of premium gastronomic experiences at award-winning restaurant La Maison 1888, continues on 10 July with Château Pichon Baron.
Found in the late 17th century, the distinguished château is in the south of Pauillac, a Médoc appellation north of Bordeaux, on the left bank of the Gironde River. Today, only a very strict selection from the older vines on the noblest soils, historic plots that were already in use in 1694 when wine was first produced, are reserved for the estate’s Grand Vin, Château Pichon Baron. It was classified as a Grand Cru Classé in 1855 and is intense and profound, a complex and elegant wine befitting a prestigious château with an enduring reputation.
In addition to Château Pichon Baron, a very special first growth of Burgundy and an old port will also be unveiled to begin and end the dinner on a remarkable note.
Guests can reserve one of the limited dinner places for VND 5,999,000++ per person, or book a stay with the Taste of Luxury package, inclusive of daily buffet breakfast, return airport transfers and seats at the exclusive dinner for two.
A Taste of Luxury began in March with Château Angelus, one of the foremost properties in Saint- Émilion. Owner and winemaker Hubert de Boüard de Laforest was on hand at the dinner, which was filled to capacity. It was followed by a dinner with the storied Bordeaux estate Château Palmer in April. The fourth chapter will be on 31 August with Champagne Billecart-Salmon, and will be graced by the venerable presence of three Michelin-starred Chef Pierre Gagnaire himself.
The Taste of Luxury room package can be booked online. For more information, please visit danang.intercontinental.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
