Set within the Sơn Trà Nature Reserve, our resort is embraced by more than 2,500 hectares of old-growth forest, a richly layered habitat home to over 1,000 species of plants, around 100 species of birds, countless butterflies, and a remarkable diversity of mammals and reptiles. Our very special resident species is the red-shanked douc langur, one of Vietnam’s most striking and treasured primates.

With such natural abundance comes a deep sense of responsibility, reflected in the presence of our full-time naturalist, who monitors the wellbeing of this delicate environment and its inhabitants. Our nature programmes will offer you a rare opportunity to encounter Sơn Trà through a more knowing lens.

Resort Nature Tour

Come and learn about indigenous flora and fauna, especially our illustrious red-shanked douc langur monkeys – if you are lucky you might even catch a glimpse of them!

Banyan Tree Hike

A moderately-challenging three-to-four hour hike to visit a famous neighbour – a majestic 800-year-old banyan tree. Enjoy spectacular views of the coastline along the way. This is a paid activity with our partner Next Continent.

Son Tra Wildlife Expedition

A half-day driving journey which includes nature walks and mountaintop viewpoints, guided by an expert naturalist. This is a paid activity woth our partner Next Continent.

Ecowalk

A short guided hike for those who want to experience more of the rainforest, with seasonal wildlife, native flora and sweeping views along the way.

Outdoor Fun for Kids

Our Planet Trekkers Kids Club takes young guests outdoors for nature discoveries, sand castle building, outdoor games and lots more.

Organic Garden Experiences

Bring your group closer to nature with hands-on cooking classes, garden-led team building and farm-to-table dining in our Organic Garden. It is a fresh way to connect, create and enjoy the flavours of the resort’s natural setting.

Basket Boating

Take to the sea and learn to steer your way in a traditional basket boat, a common sight on Vietnamese shorelines. We promise it’s more challenging than it looks!
