This is why we offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities for body and mind. Indulge in a Tai Chi and Yoga class with our resident guru everyday.
TAI CHI: 16:00 – 17:00 at L_o_n_g Bar, Sea level
YOGA: 7:00 – 8:00 at Relaxation Pavilion – Heaven level
One of the most privileged aspects of the resort’s location is that it not only offers an incredible beachfront experience but is also surrounded by the gorgeous unspoiled Son Tra Nature Reserve, containing more than 2,500 hectares of old-growth forest and a marvelous diversity of flora and fauna. We are steps away from almost 1,000 species of plants, over 100 birds, and dozens of mammals and reptiles. Our most illustrious residents are the rare and beautiful red-shanked douc langurs, a species of colobine monkey. Our daily trekking trip travels four kilometres each way over paved roads to a 1,000-year-old banyan tree, and offers breathtaking vistas and langur sightings.
BASKET BOAT LESSONS
If you’ve been to the seashore in Vietnam, you’ve undoubtedly spotted the round, basket-shaped boats bobbing on the waves, being rowed with a single oar. Used for fishing or as transport to larger anchored vessels, these basket boats remain an essential everyday tool for fishing villages in Vietnam. In one of our most popular activities, you can learn how to pilot one of these basket boats yourself. It’s not nearly as easy as it looks!
LANTERN MAKING CLASS
The traditional Vietnamese lanterns which greatly inspired the interior design of our resort, have become inseparable from local people’s life for thousands of years. It is so special that there is even a lantern festival in Hoi An taking place on the 14th day of each lunar month.
CONICAL LEAF HAT MAKING CLASS
Non La is the traditional costume that celebrates a prominent presence in Vietnamese daily life. When traveling through Vietnam, just look around and you will easily spot this hat crowning the heads of farmers working on rice fields, vendors on the street, workers or even modern Vietnamese ladies.
For a unique In-The-Know experience at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, why not learn from an experienced local craftsman how to make your own simply charming non la?
We offer a complimentary onsite fitness center for all our in-house guests to stay fit and healthy when you are on your vacation. From head to foot or heart to abs – our extensive centre with Life Fitness equipment will revitalise and energise you.
