Named to Top Family Resorts by Holidays with Kids Australia 2018

In recognition of its increasing popularity as a family-friendly destination, the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was recently named one of the Top 10 Family Resorts by Holidays with Kids, Australia’s largest circulating travel magazine.

Cascading down the verdant hillsides of the Son Tra peninsula to the gentle sweep of Bai Bac Bay, the picturesque 39-hectare resort lends itself to memorable getaways.

Rooms begin at a generous 70 square metres, while adjoining keys and a collection of spacious two- and three-bedroom suites offer plenty of flexibility.

At the signature kids’ club, Planet Trekkers, age-appropriate activities are carefully supervised in the brightly decorated play spaces. Other educational activities around the resort include lessons in traditional Vietnamese craftsmanship at the Heritage Village and wildlife tours, where guests can catch sight of the rare red-shanked douc langurs that make their home in the nearby Son Tra Reserve.

A host of recreational options on the 700-metre private beach are available, from fishing to paddle boarding and windsurfing.

Another highlight is the regular film screening at the Summit Auditorium. With a capacity of 100, the cinema welcomes moviegoers with a state-of-the-art system, comfortable seating and complimentary refreshments.

Other thoughtful offers include special children’s menus in all restaurants, after-hours babysitting services, and regularly scheduled complimentary shuttles to Da Nang, a lively coastal city with plenty of entertaining attractions.

The resort is the ideal base for families who wish to venture further afield by making a day trip to the famously charming heritage town of Hoi An – also served by a complimentary daily shuttle - or the imperial capital of Hue; take in the vistas of Marble Mountain or walk along the Golden Bridge in Ba Na Hills; and visit the ancient ruins of the My Son Sanctuary.

Da Nang is easily accessible from Australia and enjoys direct flight connections to major regional hubs including Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok.
